1. Navigate to the Pages menu item and select Edit on the page you wish to edit.
- OR when viewing a page on the front end, select the Edit Page button on the top bar.
2. Edit the page a title and add the page content within the text editor.
The content editor includes many great features that can help organise and style the text.
The toolbar works very similarly to Microsoft Word or the toolbar found when writing an email.
- More features are available on the toolbar by clicking the Toggle Toolbar button.
- If copying and pasting content from a seperate document (Microsoft Word, Google doc, etc). It is important to click the Paste as text button before pasting the content into the content editor. This will strip all foreign styling from the text, and help the text display as intended (using WordPress styling).
- Add an image to the the page content by selecting the Add Media button and selecting or uploading an image.
Set the Size and Alignment by clicking on the image. The image settings can be found by selecting the pencil icon and navigating to the Display Options in the popup.
3. Edit the page banner image (Feature Image)
Select from the website Media Library or upload a new image.
4. Edit the Page Attributes
Parent
Allows the page to be organised by creating a hierarchy. See example below:
- The page Enrolments is the parent page of the How to Enrol page.
- How to Enrol will not display on the Enrolments page as a sub page, and display within the page sidebar along with other Enrolments sub pages.
- The How to Enrol page will now show the Enrolments page in it’s URL path – https://www.westgreenwood.wa.edu.au/enrolments/how-to-enrol/
