Our canteen is nestled in the heart of our school, serving healthy and delicious meals every Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
In 2017, our P&C held a competition for students to name our school canteen. The winning entry was submitted by Year 6 student, Levi T, and Possum’s Pantry was born.
We are proud to offer a menu that consists of both sweet and savoury goodies which complies with the Healthy Food & Drink Policy, and guidelines set out by WA School Canteen Association Incorporated.
Our 2022 canteen menu was assessed by WASCA and passed with a 71% GREEN rating which exceeds the minimum 60% requirement. We are also very proud that 80% of our menu is made in the school canteen.
Our P&C employs a Canteen Manager to oversee the daily operations at Possum’s Pantry. We have wonderful support from parents and grandparents who volunteer in our canteen throughout the year. Students love seeing their parents or grandparents at Possum’s Pantry and it’s also a fun way to help our school, so we encourage you to come in and have a go.
Possum’s Pantry isn’t just for students though. WGPS staff are always welcome to order lunch or grab a treat for recess or an ice cream at lunchtime.
Please feel free to contact firstname.lastname@example.org for any Possum’s Pantry enquiries or stop by to see our Canteen Manager before school starts to get your name on our canteen volunteer roster.
